Our Story

Bhairahawa, which is only 24 km from Lumbini, was the first place our late founder Thaneshore Ghimire, made home after moving to his homeland, Nepal, from Myanmar, where he was born and raised. He always had a close connection to the area that gave him everything he felt he needed.   

He was passionate about creating jobs and giving back to the community. He believed in local sustainability and advancing national business. He always saw Lumbini as an opportunity to flourish tourism and establish Nepal as more than just a country for trekking.

The hotel will stand in honor of his goals, dreams, and commitment to a better future. This project is led by his son, Shanker Ghimire, who is a successful businessman with diverse business portfolio leading and charing various boards in banking, insurance and pharmaceuticals, with the help and support from his family, friends, and co-investors.

The board is comprised of members with dynamic and diverse experiences. Our managing director Deepak Upraity and BOD Lok Raj Pant, have over 50 years’ combined experience in hospitality around the world. H.N.Khanal is currently the chairman/ managing director or Asian Pharmaceuticals P.LTD, and Krishna Ghimire is a board of director of the same leading pharmaceutical of Nepal, bring in great knowledge of understanding the local market. Tulsi Gyawali has been running a successful, award-winning trekking and tourism business for more than a decade. Khagiswara Ghimire and Lily Ghimire are philanthropists who have been involved in helping the community where companies operate. Siddha Kanta Mainali, a businessman and shareholder of AIR Hotels is contributing his experiences as the company secretary.
